James Fitzgerald Lowe, AKA “5000” was born on January 11, 1965, to the late James Lester and Alma Jean Brown. He departed this life on December 9, 2022, at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehab.

James attended Rockingham County Schools and was always a kid at heart. He was a loving person who loved music and loved to dance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lisa Lowe, Juanita Brown, and Mary Francis Rumley; and his brothers, Fabian Lowe, Keith Brown, and James Lester Brown, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Angel Lowe; his son, Roger Carter; his sister, Donna Lowe; his brothers, Andrea Brown (Jennie), Tyrone Brown, Gregory Brown, Anthony Brown, and Gary Brown; his special aunt, Faye Carter who made his favorite chocolate pies; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at New Light Refuge Temple Way of the Cross Church with Elder Stevie Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. For those wishing to pay their respects, Mr. Lowe will lie in repose at Ray Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
