Obituary: JAMES EVERETTE DABNEY, JR

James Everette Dabney, Jr., 56, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, November 2, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service and all other times at the home.

Jimmy was born on July 30, 1968 to James and Bernice Dabney. He was a graduate of Stoneville High School, Class of 1986. Jimmy was an avid golfer and loved playing with his friends. He was a loving person that never met a stranger and was known for his sense of humor. But most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.

Jimmy was dedicated to his two pets, Remi and Doug. He loved and treated his pets like his children. He also was a loving son to his parents. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Everette Dabney, Sr.; grandparents, Everette and Hettie Durham, Albert and Lola Joyner.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Dabney; cousins, Sherry Joyner Foulks, Tammy Joyner Hauser, Joy Joyner, Susan Dabney, Owen Dabney, Kelly Dabney, Debbie Dabney; and many other extended family members.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Colonail Funeral Home of Madison is serving the family.
