Obituary: JAMES “BONES” CALVIN HOFF, JR

James “Bones” Calvin Hoff, Jr., 70, passed from this earthly life while in the arms of his wife on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Gibson House Hospice.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Hemric officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison and all other times at the home.

Mr. Hoff was born on September 3, 1954 in Guilford County to Edith Mae Stamey Hoff and the late James Calvin Hoff, Sr. James had a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for history and genealogy. He was a master mechanic for fifty-two years and dedicated thirty-seven years to 220 Trucking. James was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle and a born-again Christian. He cherished time with his beloved grandchildren and his dedication to his work, family and faith will be remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Sandy Small Hoff; children, Lee Hoff (Tori), Allison Campbell (Chantz) and Daniel Hoff (Kelsey); grandchildren, Axel Campbell and Everleigh Campbell; sisters, Donna Elkes (Jimmy) and Debbie Hoff; brother, Ron Hoff (Melissa); father-in-law, Bob Small and a host of special family members and close friends.
