Mrs. Irene Neal Fowler departed this life on Monday morning, October 17, 2022.
She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of Caswell County for the majority of her life. Attending the local public schools, she was a graduate of Caswell County High School, Class of 1960. Mrs. Fowler was a faithful member of Garrett’s Grove United Methodist Church and was a retiree of the Unifi Corporation. During her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting.
Her parents, Kathlean Totten Neal and Vasco Neal, Sr.; siblings, Vasco Neal, Jr., Clyde Neal, Leon Neal and Nancy Neal, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: beloved son, Derrick Fowler (Wanda); grandchildren, TariQ and Nekeybah Fowler; great-grandchild, Aubree Fowler; brother, Thomas L. Fowler (Norma Jean); special cousin, Wilhemina Neal; devoted friend, Ann Marie Scales; a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022 from the Garrett’s Grove United Methodist Church, 191 High Rock Road, Gibsonville with Pastor Darryl E. Donnell, Jr. presiding. The family visitation will be Monday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Sunday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
