Obituary: HILDA BULLINS McBRIDE

Hilda Bullins McBride, 80, passed away peacefully at Ancora Compassionate Care on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison and all other times at the home of Sandra’s, 1015 McBride Farm Rd. Madison, NC.

Hilda was born to the late Hillary and Bessie Bullins on September 18, 1943. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Hilda was known for her dry wit, her famous biscuits, and wanting to spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray McBride; daughter, Amanda Jayne McBride; sisters, Genease Evans, Ruth Marie “Sally” Bullins, Louella Stephens, Geneva Dillon; brothers, Steve Bullins, Jack Bullins, Ralph Bullins.

She is survived by her children, Billy Dwayne McBride (Paula), Sandra McBride Bullins (Jody); grandchildren, Rebecca McBride (Mitch), Hannah Boles (Morgan), Sarah McBride (Dylan), Joey Bullins (Sarah), Elizabeth McBride (Michael), Maranda Bullins (Cameron); great-grandchild, Payson Boles; sister Mary Magdalene Bullins; special friend, Doris Hylton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund and/or Ancora Compassionate Care.
