Henry Lester Moore, 80, left this earthly life on Friday, December 9, 2022 at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Goins officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore was born on August 17, 1942 in Rockingham County to the late Paul Moore and Louise Webster Moore. Henry worked in construction for thirty years and drove a school bus with Rockingham County Schools for thirty-five years. He was a member of Reidsville Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, tractor shows and tinkering with lawnmowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Moore and step-daughter, Cindy Lawson.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Simpson Moore; step-children, Shannon Garrett, Shelia Funk (Terry), James Garrett (Robyn) and Paul Garrett, Jr. (Angie); granddaughter, Shannon Brown (Windell) along with numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Susan McGee (Randy); nephews, Dwayne Moore, Scott Moore, Wayne Sheppard and Glen Moore; niece, Kaite Marinelli; special friend, Dana Pegram and many special cousins.
