Hazel Rebecca “Becky” Amos, 73, left this earthly life, Friday, October 21, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.,Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sandy Ridge Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 24, at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
Hazel was born November 1, 1948, in Pensacola, FL, to the late James Stephens and the late Lois Virginia Jones. She was a member of Fontaine Baptist Church and was retired from Schenker Logistics. Becky’s life was devoted to her family, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her four-legged fur babies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, George Amos; children, Sherry Lynn, Ronald and Donald Yankovich and a brother, Tommy Stephens.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Amos; daughters, Karen Hopkins, Tina Penn (Tyrone); brother, Mike Stephens (Kathy); sisters, Mary Lynn Gilley (Tony), Lisa Stephens, and Patricia Stephens; grandchildren, D.J. Collins, Joshua, Jacob, and Dylan Amos, Danielle Martin, Seth and Paige Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Iyanna and Amyia Martin and Alayna Whitlow.
Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
