Glenn Derris Samples, 85, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at home.
He was born May 24, 1939, in Gaston County, Belmont, N.C. Glenn was a past employee of the Bur-Mill Park golf store in Greensboro for several years. He loved his family, was a good provider, and was a faithful member of True Light Church.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Dayton Samples and Abby Womble Samples and a brother, Ray Samples.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn McKay Samples; son, Brian Samples; daughter, Lisa Samples; step-daughters, Angel Ervin and Misty Russell; grandchildren, Lacey Carpenter and Josh Samples; step-grandchild, Billy Jennings; sisters, Barbara Little and Kay Samples.
There will be no formal service at this time.
Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
