Obituary: GEORGIA ANNE EVYLIN GULL TAKENAKA

Georgia Anne Evylin Gullo Takenaka, 88, died on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4751 NC 14, Eden, NC. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Takenaka was born on September 19, 1936 in Superior, Wisconsin to the late Dominick Gullo and Ruth White Gullo. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a lifelong love of arts and crafts, specifically porcelain dolls.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Howard Shizuo Takenaka, Jr. and her brother, Dominick Gullo, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Howard Shizuo Takenaka, Sr.; daughter, Natalie Takenaka (Dermot Palmer); adopted daughter, Lisa Isabelle Palmer of Newbury, NH; sister, Carolyn Gullo Trautline of Eden Prairie, MN.
