Geneva Irene Dockery Pruitt went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024.
A native of Rockingham County, she was born on June 1, 1944 to the late Ernest and Myrtle Dockery.
She lived in Reidsville most of her life. Geneva retired from Monarch Hosiery but she was a homemaker the majority of her life. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, and attending church, but most of all spending time making memories with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Algie Gay Pruitt Jr. and her siblings Roy Dockery, Nancy Benfield, Dorothy Dockery, Jimmy Dockery, Russell Dockery. Great Grandchildren Felicia Clark, Camerin Pruitt, and Logan Pruitt.
She is survived by her children Gary Pruitt(Josephine), Rhonda Pruitt(Bart Lindahl), Dewey Pruitt(Tracey), Craig Pruitt(Angie), Brandon Pruitt(Jaimie) and Sisters-in-law Judy Sheckells, Brenda Hill(Ray), Carolyn Gutierrez(Alex), and Ruby Dockery. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend David Powell.
