Gaston Galloway, Jr., the beloved husband of Jerlean Martin Galloway, departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was a retiree of Fieldcrest-Cannon Corporation. Mr. Galloway enjoyed gardening, auto racing and was an affiliated with the Wentworth Baptist Church.
His parents, Lucille Carter Galloway and Gaston Galloway, Sr.; siblings, Geneva Dillard, Mary Sue Galloway Blackwell and Bert Lee Galloway, preceded him in death. Survivors are: beloved wife of 57 years, Jerlean Martin Galloway; daughter, Omega Galloway; sons, Ivie L. Galloway (Monica) and Nathan Galloway (Valerie); 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Virginia Galloway, Diane Motley (Vernon), Gloria Gorham (Donald) and Pauline Cummings (Joyce); brothers-in-law, Johnnie Martin and Clarence Martin; special cousin, Paul Carter; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 from the Eden Gardens Cemetery, 161 Shady Grove Road, Eden with Rev. Samuel Galloway presiding. Public viewing will be Wednesday afternoon from 3 until 8 p.m. at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street, Reidsville.
