Gary Allen Manis, 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 1, 2025, just days after his birthday.
A proud veteran, Gary served his country with distinction in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the elite 82nd Airborne Division. His service included deployment during Operation Desert Storm. Following his military career, Gary took to the open road as a long-haul truck driver until his retirement, allowing him to experience the vast beauty of our country.
A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Gary loved watching football, professional and college alike. He rooted for Marshall’s Thundering Herd every time they played. He enjoyed a good home-cooked meal and had quite a sweet tooth.
He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, both parents, and his two brothers. He is survived by two daughters, three sisters, and three grandchildren.
