Obituary: GAIL WILLIAMS ISLEY

Gail Williams Isley, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday November 24, 2023, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Milton Kennon officiating. The family will see friends on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home .

Gail was born in Rockingham County to the late Thomas R. “Doc” Williams and Lindy Martin and was a retiree of Equity Meats. She was a member of Bible Way Church and had a strong Baptist faith. She was a loving, patient mother and she and her husband shared a very special love between them. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glenn Isley, Sr.; brother, Martin Williams and Frances Williams; sisters Treva Wray.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Chilton and husband, Jerry, Cathy Martin and husband, Tim, Glenn Isley, Jr., Mark Isley, Beverly Harrison and husband, Keith, Russell Isley, John Isley and wife, Debbie and Michael Steele; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; 2 ½ great-great grandchildren; sister, Jolene Taylor; special friend, Sandra Moore: special caregiver, her son, Russell Isley and her companion rabbit, Buttercup.
