Freddy Wayne Elliott, 90, of Reidsville passed away peacefully at his home in Reidsville on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
Freddy was born in Danville, VA to the late Cecil Clifton and Dorothy Taylor Elliot. He was one of the hardest workers you’d ever meet and always made sure his family had everything they needed. He had a heart of gold and would’ve given you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He kept himself in great shape and loved being outside, especially working in his yard—it was something he truly enjoyed. He retired from Corning Glass after more than 40 years of service, and even in his spare time, he kept busy selling cars and helping people any way he could.
More than anything, he loved his wife and his family. They were his whole world, and you could see that in everything he did. He had a deep love for his daughter, Cindy, and thought the world of her husband, Keith—he always said Keith felt more like a son than a son-in-law. He was incredibly proud of his grandson, Zachary, and lit up any time he talked about him. And of course, his dog Duke held a special place in his heart—they were true companions.
In addition to his parents, Freddy was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Jackson Elliott and sister-in-law Sylvia Ann Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Elliott Paschal, and her husband, Keith; his grandson, Zachary Paschal, and his wife, Nikki; his sister, Bonnie Scott Burke, and her sons, Michael and Brad; his brother, Donald C. Elliott, and his sons, Donald and Brandon; and his brother-in-law, David B. Gilbert, his wife, Betty Jo, and their son, Bryant.
