Obituary: FRED HOWARD “FREDDY” CHRISCO, JR































































Fred “Freddy” Howard Chrisco Jr., 73, of Reidsville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 22nd peacefully surrounded by his family at Cone Health Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.

Freddy was born to Fred H. Chrisco Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bryant Chrisco on February 15, 1949 in Pittsboro, NC. He was a graduate of Pittsboro High School class of 1967. Following graduation, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as an infantryman with the 1st Infantry Division from 1968-69 in Vietnam. During his time in service, Freddy was highly decorated achieving the rank of Specialist and receiving awards for valor such as the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters. He was hard working and worked 24 years at Air Products and Chemicals prior to his retirement. Freddy also worked 12 years for Lowes Home Improvement. Freddy never met a stranger and throughout his life he helped many people in need and would always go out of his way to make others feel important and valued. Freddy most enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Chrisco.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Rosie Chrisco, sons Adam Chrisco (Whitney) and Daniel Chrisco (Brittany) both of Reidsville, brothers Danny Chrisco of Efland, Steve Chrisco of Olivia and sister Darlene Newman of Frederick, MD. Freddy had four grandchildren Taelor Chrisco, Benjamin Chrisco, Caroline Chrisco and Scarlett Chrisco whom he loved dearly. His extended family includes many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on January 7th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Freedom Baptist Church, 471 Stone Rd. Reidsville, NC. The family will meet with friends immediately following the service in the Family Life Center at the church.
