Obituary: EUNICE (CALIGAN) HOLT

Eunice Caligan Holt, 74, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at her home in Madison, NC.
Eunice was born on November 22, 1947, and grew up in Greensboro, NC. She most recently resided in Carolina Beach, NC.
Eunice’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that the imprint she left on our hearts exceeds the time that she stayed here on earth. When Eunice wasn’t working or playing bingo, she could be found enjoying ceramics and crafts. Not a day went by where Eunice didn’t talk about how much her family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. Even her community of friends called her “Granny”.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Ernest “Bud” Holt of Madison, NC and daughter, Lynn Dawson of McLeansville, NC, and grandson Christopher Bolen (Beth) and great-granddaughter Parker Bolen of Oak Ridge, NC and brothers Clyde “Woody” Caligan (Barbara) of Titusville, FL and Bill Caligan of McLeansville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, James Woodrow “Little Woody” Dawson, and parents, Margert B Caligan and William J Caligan.
Services are still being organized but will be held at Triad Cremation and Funeral Service at 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.
