Ernest Steve Parker, 77, passed away on November 25, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Ernest was born on December 26, 1946 to the late Will and Elsie Parker. He was a dedicated teacher for 31 years at Stoneville Elementary School, where he was honored as Teacher of the Year. After retiring he lead the Mighty Learning Corp. Ernest was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply. He had a passion for writing and playing songs and loved playing his guitar and harmonica. His music and his love for teaching have left a lasting impact on all who knew him especially his students. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the many students whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Parker; son, Vince Parker; grandchildren, Emberly Parker, Will Parker; great-grandchildren, Liam Parker; brothers, Ray Parker ( Gayle), Charles Parker; many special nieces and nephews.
Colonial Funeral Home of Madison is serving the family.
