Ernest Michael Doyle, a devoted husband, father, and talented artist, passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on April 2, 1959, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, Ernest left behind a legacy of creativity and love for his family.
Ernest began his career as a special education assistant in the 1990s, dedicating himself to helping others. His passion for art, however, shone brightly throughout his life. He was widely recognized for his exceptional talents as an artist, selling numerous paintings in Rockingham County and Caswell County. Ernest had a knack for drawing buildings and houses with pens and inks, and he also indulged in creating beautiful folk art using paint. His artwork captured the essence of his surroundings, showcasing his keen eye for detail and his unique perspective on the world.
When Ernest wasn’t immersed in his artistic endeavors, he cherished spending time with his beloved cats, finding solace and companionship in their presence. Their playful antics and affection brought him great joy.
Ernest is preceded in death by his parents John David Doyle, Ethel Harrelson Doyle, and Daughter Jenny Doyle.
Ernest is survived by his devoted spouse of 40 years, Susan Poindexter, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His memory will also be cherished by his sons, Daniel Doyle and Matthew Doyle, as well as his adored grandson, Brandon Doyle. He leaves behind his brother, Allison Doyle, and a special friend, Colt Johnson, who provided unwavering support and friendship.
Ernest Michael Doyle will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. His artistic talents, kind heart, and loving spirit will forever remain etched in our memories. May he rest in peace.
