Elizabeth “Lib” Wilson Dalton, 82, went to be with the lord February 25, 2025 passing peacefully surrounded by family at home.
Lib was born in Madison, NC to the late Robert Lee “June” Wilson and Ruby Brim Hurd on September 6, 1942. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended Bethal Baptist Church when able, online when not. She was a devoted Christian and loved the lord. She was witty with a great sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Dalton, who she had been waiting to meet again.
She is survived by her children, Leon (Maria) Rumley Jr., Richard (Annette) Rumley, and Tabatha (Brian) Harris; grandchildren Lisa, Jessie, Josh, Shane, Autumn, Kyle, Samantha and 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Donnie “Quack” (Pam) Wilson, Robert (Evon) Wilson, Doug (Patricia) Wilson, Ricky (Sylvia) Wilson; sister, Garnet (Joe) Rash; and many nephews and nieces.
Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
