Obituary: EARLENE ANDERSON

Earlene Powell Anderson, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Jacobs Creek Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison with burial to follow at Jessup Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior and all other times at the home.

Earlene was born on June 6, 1941 to the late Lonnie and Edna Richardson Powell. Earlene had a deep love for gardening and found immense joy in the beauty of nature. Her rose bushes were a particular source of pride and delight. She enjoyed helping her husband restore tractors, and above all, she cherished her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Hardy; sister Marie Martin (Darrell).

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harold Anderson; children, Rick Hardy (Robin), Kenny Hardy (Candace), Donald Hardy (Stephanie), Jeff Anderson (Christy) and Fay Stanley (Danny); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Powell (Fran) and Ray Powell (Ruth).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Guilford Baptist Church.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
