Dorothy “Gee” Glennell Watts Linville, 78, left this earthly life, Monday, May 30, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 pm Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Belews Creek, NC, followed by a memorial service at 5 pm.

Gee was born November 3, 1943, in Stokes County, to Cecil “Shorty” Talgum Watts and the late Dorothy Mae King Barlow. During her working years, she was most proud of her job as a medical assistant. She was “Granny Gee” to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family. Gee loved thrift shopping and square dancing with the Patrick Henry Travelers.
She was an excellent cook who was noted for her cornbread, turnips, greens, and sweet potato casserole.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Merril Vincson Watts.

Survivors include her fiancé, Waynnie Davis Hopkins; daughters, Terrie Cummings (John), Sharron Fauber (Tommy), Robin Garner, and Shellie Booe (Brian); nieces, Kimberly Adams (Rick), Tiffany Watts and Kristie Mahan (Mikey); 11 grandkids and 19 great-grandkids; her special friends, Sandy Reynolds, Jerry and Debbie Bullins, Randy and Debbie Day. She will surely be missed by her doggie, Lucy.

Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
