Obituary: DORIS MARIE (SAPAUGH) MEACHER

Doris Sapaugh Meacher, 82, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Roberts officiating.
A native of Rockingham Co., she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Frances Perkins Sapaugh and she had lived in Reidsville all of her life. Doris was a beautician and she owned and operated her shop at her home, she was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where she had been the pianist for many years. She began playing the piano in church at the age of 12 and continued to play at area churches as long as her health permitted. Doris was a member of the ABWA and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Ray Meacher and her brother; Alvis Sapaugh.
Surviving is her daughter’ Teresa King Branch (Tommy) of Reidsville, sister-in-law, Elaine Sapaugh of Knightdale and her nephew’ Keith Sapaugh (Lynn) of Raleigh.
The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2022, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at Teresa’s home at 3030 Iron Works Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320.
