Donald Ray Spencer, 78, born November 12, 1945, entered eternal rest Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Walnut Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Stokes County, Donald was a graduate of Lawsonville High School and Louisiana State University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired truck driver. Donald’s most recent job was working for W. O. Woods and Sons. He attended Peter’s Creek Baptist Church.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Jim Matthew “M.W.” Spencer and Geneva Lackey Spencer; brothers, John Ervin “Babe” Spencer, Garland Spencer, Billy Joe Spencer, and E. G. Spencer; several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Survivors include brothers, Ben Spencer (Faye), Joe Spencer (Brenda), and a sister, Priscilla Spencer.
Special appreciation is extended to Mike, Tracey, and Terry Ragsdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2030 Snow Hill Church Road, Danbury, N.C. 27016.
