Dona Vaughn Ivester, 68, died on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A private celebration of her life will be held in the near future.
Dona was born on April 4, 1954 in Baxley, Georgia to the late Dumah Lee Vaughn and Martha Lucile Craven. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. Dona retired from Tyco Electronics and loved riding Harley Davidsons.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Hopper; husband, Sunny Hoyt Ivester and brothers, Bill, Bud and Robert Vaughn.
Survivors include her sons, Jason Hopper (Misty) and Darin Hopper; grandchildren, Austin Richardson and Jayce Hopper; brothers, Donnie Vaughn and Alvin Vaughn; sisters, Fay Dobbins and Gail Bobbit and special friend, Kenny Reid.
Memorials in her honor may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
