Dereck Anthony Adkins, 33, passed away at his home on May 21, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Mayodan First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church and all other times at the home.

Dereck was born on October 3, 1990 to Mark and Connie Adkins. He was a family guy and loved spending time with them. He especially adored his nieces and nephew. Dereck enjoyed riding his dirt bike, building memorials for the veterans, and playing with his cats.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alvin Stegall, and Buddy Adkins; aunts, Karen Adkins, Donna Davis.

He is survived by his parents, Mark Anothny Adkins, Connie Stegall Adkins; sister, Heather Adkins; grandmothers, Shirley O’Neil, Martha Adams; uncles, Michael Adkins, Jerry Adkins, Billy Stegall, Richard Stegall; nieces, Haylee Neugent, Chloe Dillion; nephew, Ryder Thomas.

Memorial contributions maybe be made to a veterans association of your choice.
