Delores Muriel Bryant Caldwell, 78, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Eden, NC, stepped into Heaven Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at First Wesleyan Church in Eden. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at First Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends at other times at the Stump residence, 1426 Lane Rd, Eden, NC 27288.
Muriel was born May 6, 1944, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Lidge Bryant and Lois Sams Bryant. She was a graduate of Morehead High School, class of 1962. Muriel was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Eden. She retired from Mohawk Mills after many years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Sidney Caldwell, Jr. of the home; son, Tim Burroughs (Melissa) of Stoneville, NC; grandchildren, Bryce Burroughs (Libby) of Eden, NC, Bethany Burroughs of Stoneville, NC; sisters, Gloria Wilkins of Eden, NC, Margaret Stump (Richard) of Eden, NC; niece, Jackie Crowder (Roy) of Cary, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Muriel is preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Bryant, Billy Bryant, Benson Bryant, Wayne Bryant, Ronnie Bryant; sister, Nancy Hopkins.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for the excellent care and compassion our loved one received. The work you all do is amazing. You are truly angels on earth.
