David Ray Crigler, 70, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday November 26, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Ellisboro Baptist Church with burial to follow. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. and all other times at the home.

David was born in Greensboro on October 25, 1954. He was a loving father, a devoted husband and grandfather. He was an active member of the Ellisboro Baptist Church and the chairman of the God and Country Memorial Team. His faith and service was the cornerstone of his life. David’s leadership and commitment were deeply valued and strongly impactful.

David was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who cherished spending time with his family and adoring his grandchildren. His love for sports was evident by his many years of coaching multiple baseball and Pop Warner football teams in Kernersville, impacting numerous youth. He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness and joy he brought to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Beulah Mae Caudle Mabe.

He is survived by the love of his life and deeply devoted wife of 43 years Malea Knight Crigler; sons Joshua David Crigler (Kayla), William Brice Crigler (Amanda); grandchildren, Aspen Crigler, Hayden Crigler, Abbie Crigler; his brother Claude Francis Derushia Jr. (Vonda).

Appreciation is extended from the family to Summerstone Health and Rehabilitation Center and Liberty Hospice for their dedication and care to David and his family.
