Ms. Darlene Christian departed this life on Sunday afternoon, April 16, 2023.
She was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina and a resident of Rockingham County for the majority of her life. Darlene was a former employee of Precision Fabrics and was a member of High Rock Missionary Baptist Church. During her leisure, she enjoyed socializing, listening to music, spending time with family and friends.
Her parents, Lena Weatherford Christian and Dolphus Christian; great-grandchild, Alynee Sky McLean; brother, Joe Christian, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: loving children, Tammy Christian and Anthony Christian (Sasha); grandchildren, Travis Mc Lean, Devonte Williams, Kayla Daye and Ikima Christian; great-granchildren, Anyla and Anavii; sisters, Gloria Christian, Lillian Blackwell (Raymond) and Lillian Angela Lewis; brothers, Thomas Christian (Donna), Tony Christian (Mia), Dolphus Christian, Jr. (Diane) and Larry Christian; aunt, Hazel Galloway; special nieces, Tina Christian Galloway (Tyrone), Kim Blackwell, Sonya Brewer (Matthew), Lisa Hawkins (Joe), Tracy Fountain (Earl) and Katrina Gunter (George); devoted friends, Michael Stubblefield, Kevin Mc Lean, Judy Poole and George Courts; a host of additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street. The family visitation will be Saturday from 2 until 2:30 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Friday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
