Danny Lee Wilson departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was a former employee of Albaad Industries. Spiritually, he was a former member of Disciples of Christ Ministries, Danville, Virginia and a present member of Life Empowerment Ministries. During his leisure, he enjoyed basketball, lifting weights and football. Having a special interest in children, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
His mother, Mattie Elmer Hampton Wilson; grandmother, Mable Dejournette Wilson and a sister, Barbara Hicks, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: brother and sisters, Michael Wilson (Kim), Julia Harris and Elmer Wilson (Donald Johnson); beloved father, William Wilson; nieces and nephews, Sheena Doe (Michael), Wesley Wilson (Sheena), Terrell Stephens, LaBrandon Weatherford (Rosa), Jumond Weatherford, Janavii Wilson, Michael Wilson, Anisa Neal, Travis Weatherford, Danisha Harris, Daquan Harris and Denzel Harris; adoptive daughter, Erikka Neal; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 from the Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, 9892 Highway 700, Pelham. The family visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
