Obituary: DANNY JOE JESSIE

By | Published | No Comments

Danny Joe Jessie was delivered into this world in early 1966. His story began in Summerfield, NC and continued through multiple cities and nearby states. As he grew up, he found strength in his faith, and confidence in serving others. As Danny moved in and out of the state, he never met a stranger. Instead, his life was full of friends he hadn’t met yet. Danny spent many years of his life serving the community through his connections with various religious organizations. He was a Deacon, he served food to the needy, and he always put others needs in front of his own.

Danny was the caretaker of his family. He was the nexus of communication between family members. He always had a good story to tell, even if sometimes it was only a silly story to make you smile. When he was preceded in death by father, Bobby Joe Jessie; mother, Betty Lou Jessie; and younger sister, Robin Belcher he kept their tales alive for the rest of us.

Danny unexpectedly went to join those that had left before him in the early morning of September 13th, 2024. His story continues in his sister, aunts, nephew, and loving cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Danny by making donations to Feeding the Carolinas.
