Dallas William Doss, 34, left this earthly life and went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and all other times at the home of his mother.
Dallas was born on April 5, 1988 in Guilford County. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed being outdoors. His other hobbies included digging for indigenous artifacts and antiquing. Dallas spent his final days enjoying quality time with his son, working on projects with his dad, and looking at neighborhood Christmas lights with his mom.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rayvon Pruitt and paternal grandparents, Curtis Bishop Doss, Sr. and Doris Nelson Doss; aunt, Patty Doss Hendon; uncle, Thomas Doss; cousins, Brandon Hendon and Bo Hendon.
Survivors include his son, Daxton Bishop Doss and his mother, Deidra Scott; mother and step-father, Lisha Carol Mendez and Leo; father, and step-mother, Curtis Bishop Doss, Jr. and Melissa; siblings, Jason William Doss, Erika Doss Mishoe (Luke), Curtis Dustin Doss and Alan Clayton Caudle; maternal grandmother, Sarah Gann Pruitt and nieces, Emma and Beatrice Mishoe and Gemma Caudle; aunts & uncles, Edy Canada (Rodney), Robbin Doss (Shelia), Cheri Doss, Tania Carter (Darren), Kerri Doss Smith (Chris), Kimberly Hoover (Jr) and several cousins.
