Obituary: DALLAS ODENE JOYCE

Dallas Odene Joyce, 89, died on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Gibson House Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.

Mr. Joyce was born on March 5, 1934 in Stokes County to the late Lee Joyce and Lemma Shaffer Joyce. Dallas served his country honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed golfing, racing, watching the New York Yankees and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard, Woodrow, Cabel, Kirby and Maynard Joyce.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Brenda Montgomery Joyce; son, Dean Joyce (Angie); grandchildren, DJ and Jessica Joyce; brother, Lemmie Joyce (Melinda) and sister, Luberta Wall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
