Obituary: CLYDE M. EASTER, JR

Clyde M. Easter, Jr., left this earthly life on Friday, April 4, 2025 at North Pointe of Mayodan.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Beaver Island Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Easter was born on October 15, 1936 in Rockingham County to the late Clyde Monroe Easter, Sr. and Oakley Mae Sparks Easter. Clyde served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from Sprint with over thirty years of service. He was an avid RC Plane enthusiast and was instrumental in the formation of the Red Baron R/C Club and the Clyde Easter Field at Farris Park in Mayodan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delois Tilley Easter; son, Clyde “Monty” Easter, III; sister, Betty Richardson and niece, Theresa Hubbard.

Survivors include his sister, Brenda Cummings; niece, Wanda Boyd (Alan); nephew, Elliott Cardwell (Jen); great-niece, Katie Easter; great-nephews, Jarrett Easter and Brent Hopper (Jaime) and many extended family and friends.
