Obituary: CLIFTON ROBERT ELLEDGE

Clifton Robert Elledge, 95, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Sunday May 5, 2024 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday May 9, 2024 at Christian Fellowship Church. The family will see friends at the church 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. Thursday before the service and at other times will be at the home of his daughter 414 Vernon Rd. Reidsville, NC. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military graveside rites by Rockingham County Honor Guard.

A native of Wilkes County, he was a son of the late Paul R. and Florence Anderson Elledge and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. A retired employee of Wysong and Miles he was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the oldest living member of Christian Fellowship Church where he was a Deacon, had served on the Board of Trustees, taught Sunday School for a short while and sang in the choir. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cornhole. Cliff was preceded in death by his wife: Thelma Edwards Elledge, a half sister: Mae Mabe, sisters: Helen Elledge and Martha E. Hawkins Walker, brothers: Roy Elledge, Russell Henry Elledge, Paul Ray Elledge, Floyd Elledge, Steve Elledge, and Arnold D. “Dink” Elledge.

Survivors include: daughters: Cindy E. Evans of Reidsville, and Mary E. Niemczura (Mickey) of Reidsville, son: Robert Elledge of Greensboro, sister: Jane Lloyd of Yorktown, VA grandchildren: Nikki Graves (Matt), Jamie McCain (Ed), Jacob Niemczura (fiancé Gayle Horner), and Josh Niemczura, six great grandchildren, one great great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.
