On Thursday, April 13, 2023, Cicero William Hankins, known as Pete, went home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be missed tremendously. Pete served his country with honor in the US Air Force for 20 years and received the Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Award. The last 20+ years of his life were spent in service to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Hankins, his Son and his wife Randy & Margaret Hankins, his grandson, and his wife Christopher & Jen Hankins, 3 great-grandchildren, Addison Hankins, Avery Hankins, Andrew Hankins, his sisters Hilda Anderson, Helen Wood, Janice Price, his brothers Kenneth Hankins, Garry Underwood, & Teny Edwards.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville. The funeral will be held Monday @ 1:00 at Christian Fellowship Church located at 737 Madison St. in Reidsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Rockingham County, NC are appreciated.
