Our Mama was a beautiful woman inside and out. Everybody loved her! She fed the whole neighborhood and greeted everyone with a smile. Not once, would you ever see her without a smile on her face. Now, lets take Mama back a little bit. Every time she saw a “72 Nova”, she would get all bubbly and joyful inside and she would say, “that thing sounds good boy”, you don’t see them much anymore. The reason she was so excited, she once had one in her teen years she called it “sweet thing”.

Mama was also preceded in death by her “husband”, Micheal A. Shuff, two sons; Jermainie Broadnax and Micheal Q. Shuff and one granddaughter, Miracle L. Blackstock.’’

She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters; Marcia Broadnax (caregiver), Makia Blackstock (James), mother; Dorothy Boradnax, four grandsons; Drequan Watt, Quinton Broadnax, Tyliek Scales and Jaiceon Broadnax, granddaughter; Shanequo Broadnax, four great-grand kids; Heavenly Blackstock, Cayden Carter, Lee “Andre Watt, and Baby Jabari Blackstock. Four sisters; Marjorie Scales (Arthur), Dale Aiken (Darryll), Cythina Carter (Joseph), Menda Broadnax and brother; Stephen Broadnax, two nieces; Shanta Broadnax and Chelsea Carter and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
