Charlotte (Dunlap) Briggs Solomon of Carrboro, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at UNC Hospitals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vester and Bessie (Wall) Dunlap of Madison; brother, Larry Dunlap of High Point; and former husbands, James B. Briggs of Yanceyville and George Solomon of Roxboro.
Survivors are one daughter, Amanda Briggs (Cindy) of Chapel Hill; one brother, Harry Dunlap of Sanford; two nephews, Larry Dunlap, Jr. (Page) of Seattle, WA, and Ryan Dunlap (Chrissy) of Bayside, NY; great-nephew, Colin Dunlap of Walla Walla, WA; and sister-in-law, Rose Gaiser of Greensboro.
Charlotte was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed reading, writing, and volunteering. She worked to end the stigma associated with mental illness. She was former president of the Caswell County Mental Health Association. She served on the Board of Directors of the NC Mental Health Association and as a public speaker for the Public Affairs Committee. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, and sitter for the elderly.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Snow Hill United Methodist Church in Danbury, NC. Family and friends will gather at 12:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
