Obituary: CHARLES ‘ROCK’ OWEN OLDHAM

After a long and hard-fought battle, Charles (Rock) Owen Oldham of King, NC, gained his angel wings, in his home on the morning of June 17th, 2023.
He was born July 22, 1956, in Charleston , WV, to the late Thomas Clyde Oldham and Sarah Jane Facemeyer Oldham. He proudly served in the US Army. He was also a long time employee of Larco Construction, where he was loved by many and a friend to all.
Rock will be reunited in heaven with his loving daughter, Kristen Oldham Whitmire and his grandson, Noah Steven Whitmire.
Also preceding his death were two brothers, Bobby Facemeyer and Earl Paul Oldham, and two sisters, Julie Harris and Millie Brown.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife Teresa (Terri) Roberts Oldham, as well as his daughters, Lori Oldham, Jennifer Laws (Shane), Stacy Butts (Tyler), Jessica Gatewood (Clay) sixteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by one sister, Terri Oldham Gunnoe and one brother, Eddie Oldham, both of WV.
Rock was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Terri. Twenty years ago, the love they shared brought both families together as one, making a lifetime of cherished memories. His love and support for his family and friends was immeasurable.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 290, Attn: Cliff Kilby, 436 S. Main Street, King, NC 27021.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
