Charles Glenn Joyner, Sr., 76, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at his home.
A 1:00 p.m. graveside service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Kallam Grove Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at Ray Funeral Home.
A Rockingham County native, Charles was born on August 11, 1946, to the late Rueben and Lucille Wells Joyner. He was a member of Kallam Grove Christian Church and retired from trucking after many years. Charles loved deep sea fishing, driving his truck, and being with his kids and grandkids. He also loved his dog and main companion, “Stubby”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Carol Coleman Joyner; and his sister, Myrtle Louise Joyner.
He is survived by his son, Charlie Joyner( Robin); daughters, Tina Webster (Todd), and Tonya Fuquay (Billy); eight grandchildren, Ashley Johnson (Matt), Cody Joyner (Heather), Allen Webster (Lindsay), Brooke Comer (Bryan), Lucas Martin (Calea), Breanna Martin (Jesus), Chelsey Soto, and Brandon Stephens; seven great-grandchildren, Aubrey Soto, Jaxson Martin, Luke Johnson, Knox Rhyne, Cameron Soto, Brody Soto, Molly Joyner, Karley Johnson and Rhett Comer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
