Obituary: CHARLES EVERETT WASHBURN

Charles Everett Washburn, 87, of Ridgeway passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at North Spray Christian Church in Eden. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11am, prior to the service, at North Spray Christian Church.
Charles was born September 11, 1935, in Spray, NC, to the late Bethel Washburn and Beulah Young Washburn. He was a member of North Spray Christian Church, serving as Elder, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher. Charles was also on the pastoral search committee. Charles served his country in the US Air Force. He worked in the maintenance department at DuPont until retirement. He enjoyed being a cattle farmer.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Louise Everett Washburn of the home; brother, Bethel Green “B.G.” Washburn, Jr. (Kay) of Eden; sister, Diane W. Newland (Darrell) of Oldsmar, FL; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Diann Washburn; brothers, Kenneth “Foot” Donald Washburn, Malcolm “Mack” Washburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Spray Christian Church, 521 Washburn Ave, Eden, NC 27288.
