Obituary: CHARLES EDWARD HALL

Mr. Charles Edward Hall, age 80, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his residence.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc., 600 McWalker Road, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The committal and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Charles was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 4, 1944 to Frank Hall and Leona Maynard Hall.

He was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington in Reidsville, NC.

He was an active member of Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church where he served as a trustee, senior choir, male chorus and custodian.

For many years he worked at Smurfit-Stone Containers in Greensboro, NC.

In his spare time, he loved fishing, gardening, cooking and working on cars.

Suvivors include wife, Kathy Robinson Hall; children, Linda Fergus (Rena), Paula Hall, Dorothy Hall, Brenda Broadnax (Wayne), Merill Rankin (Delia), Jimmy Ellison, Jackie Price (Robert) and Tony Wheeler; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret McConnell; niece, Rochelle Boyd (Tony); a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Eula Harris, grandson, Jarvis Wilson and godmother, Lena Evans.
