Mr. Charles D. Lamberth, age 80, peacefully ascended early Sunday morning, September 22, 2024 to his heavenly home with his wife by his side.

Mr. Lamberth was born in Rockingham County, NC on February 4, 1944 to Clyde and Claudia Jones Lamberth.

He was a faithful member of Rock Grove Church in Gibsonville, NC.

He was educated in the Rockingham County School System and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School class of 1963. He was drafted in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He later received an Associates Degree in Business Administration from what was formerly known as Jefferson College in Greensboro, NC.

For many years he served as a barber in his hometown of Reidsville, NC.

He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company after 30 years of service.

He was an avid golfer and loved to keep his lawn well manicured. In his spare time, he loved to watch the Price is Right, Gunsmoke and the Washington Commanders (Redskins).

To know Charles was to love him. He was a loving husband, perfect father and a #1 fan of his grandchildren. He was a kind caring soul during his walk of life.

Survivors include wife of over 56 years, Carolyn Slade Lamberth; children, Leslie (Craig) Watkins, Robbie (Trish) Lamberth and Chancy (Randall) Williams; brother, Robert Lamberth; sisters, Marie Graves, Minister Rachel (Deacon Bobby) Bolden and Louise Jeffries; granchildren, Emily (Andrew), Tiona, Nicolas, Bryson, Jayden, Kaleb and Jasmine; close family friend, Vuong (Me) Tran; sisters-in-law, Emmagene Slade, Portia Williamson and Il Sun (Kim) Lambert; brother-in-law, Gordon (Judy) Slade; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Claudia Lamberth; siblings, Helen (Eugene) Smith, Wylene (O’Lester) Mitchell, Agnes (Romeo) Pinnix, Howard (Louisa) Lambert, Leroy Lambert and Naomi Lamberth; brother-in-law, Donnell Jeffries.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family will be present from 4 until 7 p.m.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Bobby Murray officiating and Reverend Tommy Williamson, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens, Reidsville, NC with military honors.
