Charles “Chuck” Bryan Pugh, Jr., 56, of Eden passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden.
Charles “Chuck” Bryan Pugh Jr., a force of love and an example of good fatherhood, was born in Asheboro, NC on September 22, 1966.
His close friends knew him as “The Doobie Fairy” and chefs at Ruth’s Chris studied his approach to cooking steak on a Weber grill. They never could quite get it right.
We’ll never know how fast his tennis serve was because ATP radar maxes out around 150 mph. But we do know he is the only golf player to never break a club.
That calm demeanor and altruistic approach to life led Chuck to cultivate deep, lasting relationships rooted in respect and admiration. He found success in numerous industries, owning his own screen-printing company for several years before deciding to focus on family and the pursuit of a life well-lived. And indeed he fulfilled life’s main purpose, which is to love and be loved truly.
He is survived by Melissa, his loving wife of 28 years, his two happy young men Blaine and Logan, his brother Jon and sweet niece Jordan, and his mother Jane and step-father Irvin. He will also be remembered by close friends of the Paschal, Middleton, Ingle, Peddle, and Hinson families.
Chuck made the ultimate gift in donating his body to advance the study of lung cancer and a celebration of life will occur when studies have concluded.
