

Charles Allen “Charlie” Stokes,IIIl, 73, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday February 18, 2025 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Charlie will be remembered as a loving and devoted Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. Sunday February 23, 2025 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.
There will be no formal memorial service.
A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Charles Allen Stokes, Jr and the late Elsie Talley Stokes and had lived his entire life in Reidsville. He was a retired employee of American Tobacco Company where he worked 42 years and was a member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and anything to do with the outdoors and was a founding member of the Dogwood Hunting Club, a former member of the Reidsville Elks Lodge #1723 BPOE and was a former member of Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 AF&AM. Charlie was very involved in Little League Baseball and Dixie Youth Baseball through the Reidsville Recreation Department.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Sandra Warren Stokes of the home, sons: Kenneth Allen “Kenny” Stokes of Reidsville, and Charles Bradley “Brad” Stokes (Amber) of Thomasville, daughter: Amy Stokes Isley (Joey) of Reidsville, sisters: Susan S. McKinney (Donald) and Joan S. Hall (Steve) both of Reidsville, grandchildren: Marah Stokes, Liam Stokes, Ethan Stokes, Kelsey Isley, J.J. Isley, and Abby Isley, and his great granddaughter: Addie “Sweet Pea” Wray.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
