Obituary: CATHERINE GAIL (BROWN) PHELPS

Catherine “Cathy” Gail Brown Phelps, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Cathy was born in Wellsville, New York on November 6, 1946, to Clifford Luman and Evelyn Marie Brown.
Cathy enjoyed gardening, volunteering at First Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida, and had a soft spot for animals. She was an avid lover of cooking and BBQing with her husband, Bob. She will be remembered as a faithful child of God, a loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. Catherine will be missed deeply by all those she knew.
In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Clifford “Sandy” Brown, and Scott Brown; and a grandson, Derek Roeske.
She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Phelps; sons, Bryan Elliott (Jill), and Robert Elliott (Cheri); daughter, Marlene Brown; a sister, Pamela Iven; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Freedom Baptist Church 471 Stone Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320.
