

Mrs. Carrie Frances Stacey Jackson, age 90, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Cypress Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Public viewing will begin on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
The committal and interment will follow in the Rocky Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
Carrie or “Nanny” as she was lovingly known was born in Rockingham County and resided in Reidsville, NC.
She was educated in the Rockingham County Schools System.
Carrie was a caretaker to many and her caring nature was shared throughout her community. Taking care of family and friends was such a beautiful part of her.
She was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years until her health wouldn’t allow. Although her health declined, her spirit never wavered.
Nanny was nothing short of a master chef. Anyone could tell you about the meals she prepared. Her potato salad was unmatched. Nanny was a light in this world that will shine forever. Your light will never dim and you u will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Watt Stacey and Roberta Blackwell Stacey; husband, Raymond Lee Jackson; daughter, Sharon Denise McLaughlin; brother, Samuel Stacey; sister, Mattie Stacey and Ollie Madkins.
Survivors include sons, Jamie Jackson, Sr. (Karin), Anthony Jackson (Tarsha) and Kenneth Jackson; grandchildren, Rashard McLaughlin, Phillip McLaughlin (Daphane), Jamie Jackson Jr. (Christina), Destiney Jackson, Justin Jackson (Aliyah), Dajah Jackson, Kendall Jackson and DiYana Jackson; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
