Carolyn “Yvonne” Carter, 80, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2023, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 5 -7 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison.
Yvonne was born May 23, 1942 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Ted and Nola Via Williams. She worked for many years in the textile industry before retiring from MacField.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Hubert C. Carter of the home; three grandchildren, Christopher Carter of Stoneville and Adam Carter and David Carter, both of Madison; along with four great-grandchildren, Evan Carter, Nathan Carter, Luka Carter and Uriah Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Carlie Carter.
Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
