Carolyn Lemons Rogers, 78, left this earthly life on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Woodland Cemetery with Reverend Donnie Chandler officiating. Friends may sign a register and pay their respects from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison. The family will receive friends at the home and immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Carolyn was born on August 25, 1944 in Rockingham County to the late James Bradford Lemons and Mattie Sue Hill Lemons. She retired from Tultex after thirty-two years of service as a sewing machine operator. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother and she loved her family greatly. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, canning and helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Randall “Randy” Rogers; sisters, Brenda Sue Easter and Lena Kay Lemons; brother, Jerry Lemons and a special uncle, Bobby Tuttle.

Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Rogers Amos (Donnie) of Madison; son, Bryan Hampton Rogers of the home; grandson, Steven Ray Amos (Ashleigh); niece, Brendale Easter Todd (Greg) of Stoneville; nephew, Paul Harden “Hardy” Easter, Jr.; great nephews, Johnathan Todd and Trey Easter; extended grandson, Dawson Tucker and fur grandbabies, Chevy Amos and Mia Grace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc. to assist the family with expenses.
