

Carol May Pruitt, 80, passed away peacefully at Lifebrite Community Hospital, Danbury.
Born on June 28, 1944, in Stokes County, to the late Ranzey Pruitt and Mary Evelyn Campbell Pruitt, Carol was a dedicated farmer. She loved the outdoors, mowing the lawn, tilling the soil, gardening vegetables and flowers. Carol had the most beautiful flowers and she enjoyed sharing. She was of the Baptist faith. Although she didn’t have children of her own, she loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews like they belonged to her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Bobby Pruitt, Billy Pruitt, James Campbell; sister, Doris Linville, and great nephew, Terry Warden.
Carol is survived by two sisters, Linda Collins and Lynn Duggins; nieces, Pam Warden, Mary Ann Auman; nephews Randy Warden, Glenn Duggins, Harold Pruitt, Tony Pruitt and Tim Pruitt; great nieces, Mary Warden, Ashley Trump, Jessica Nifong, Gabby Duggins, Naomi, and Isabelle Warden; great-nephews Danny Duggins, Brandon Mabe, Tommy Joyce, and Justin Davis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
The family extends their appreciation to the staff at LifeBrite Community Hospital for Carol’s care since March 7. Also a special thanks to Betty Moore for her help with burial.
