Carol Ann Mabe Carter, 73, left this earthly life Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Hospice of Rockingham County (Gibson House), Wentworth, N.C.
Carol Ann was born on December 7, 1949, in Stokes County, to the late Wayne Johnson Mabe and Geneva Aileen B. Mabe. She retired from the textile industry. Carol enjoyed taking care of animals.
Survivors include three aunts, Fay Flinchum, Annie Mae Prillaman, and Dorothy Bowman; and many cousins.
Special appreciation is extended to her caregivers Kay Stovall, Keith Adkins, and Dawn Adkins.
Per Carol Ann’s request, there will be no formal service.
Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
